John is an experienced commercial real estate lender with over 25 years of experience, having originated and underwritten over $3 billion in debt and equity structures at both national finance firms and regional banks. John has experience lending nationwide across all major asset classes (multifamily, retail, office, and industrial) as well as specialty (hospitality and assisted living) and mixed-use properties. John has extensive knowledge of originating and structuring construction, bridge, and term debt. In addition to financing, John has experience in commercial real estate asset management, which has given him valuable insight into advising clients on the proper debt structure to meet their goals.

Prior to joining SF Capital Group, John worked at GMAC Commercial Mortgage (dba Berkadia), BMO Capital Markets, and Cole Taylor Bank (dba Fifth Third). John graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in Economics.
