Life insurance companies invest across a diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, and real estate, with a typical allocation of approximately 15% to 20% dedicated to real estate and real estate debt. CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities)
CMBS lenders originate loans, typically funded through lines of credit, with the intent to securitize and sell them after closing.
